Campus Life
Around Campus
The college experience is about more than just the classroom. You’ll find no shortage of ways to enjoy student life at Cincinnati State, from student groups and campus festivals to top-notch dining and free recreational facilities like our fitness center, game room, and basketball courts. During warmer months students can also take advantage of the full-size Frisbee golf course on the front lawn of our Clifton campus.
Get Involved
Getting involved on campus is easy at Cincinnati State. With two dozen student clubs and organizations there are lots of ways to meet new friends, gain leadership experience, and make a difference on campus and in the community. Cincinnati State has active chapters of several national professional and service organizations that students can join to take advantage of professional development and networking opportunities in their field. These include Adult Learners on Campus, Phi Theta Kappa, and the American Society of Civil Engineers.
Student Government
Make a difference on campus and be a voice for the student body by joining Cincinnati State’s Student Government. Student representatives help plan campus events and volunteer opportunities as well as serve as a liaison between the student population and the college administration.
Phi Theta Kappa
Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) is the International Honor Society for two-year colleges. Membership requires a 3.5 GPA and is by invitation from the college president. PTK promotes service and continued interest in academic excellence and provides opportunities for students to develop leadership skills and network with members at other colleges.
Student Activities
Cincinnati State is not only a great place to get your education; it’s also a fun place to do it. Our campus is full of special events throughout the year. Students can also take part in the Reds Opening Day Parade and other community events each year.
Fitness Center and Gym
Cincinnati State students enjoy free access to a newly-renovated gymnasium, a fitness center with a full range of free weights and a fresh set of resistance training and cardiovascular training equipment. Students may sign up for classes in fitness, basketball, and more to provide balance to their academic life.
